Crofoot, Gordon E MD

I have been going to Dr. Crofoot since 2000 and let me say that I have always been treated very well there and the staff have always gone out of their way to assist me in whatever help I needed. Kathy has got medications approved for me by my insurance company many times and I feel as if I were going somewhere else I would have just done without those meds. Dr. Crofoot is very cheery and nice and when I leave there I feel as if I know whats going on with my health.

Told I would see PA instead of Dr Gordon, "unless you prefer to wait," after arrived for appointment. Of course fee charged no different whether seeing PA or MD, so overhead lower for the practice if patients see PA instead. Sorry, but I a high pay a high premium for health insurance every two weeks. I don't abuse going to the physician and my condition is not a common head cold or the flu. I could go to a RediClinic at my local grocery to see a midlevel practitioner for less money. If I had been asked up front when making the appointment, my preference could have been clarified. The young, all male medical assistants and clerical personnel exchanged glances and snickers as I was checking out. I will continue to look for a permanent MD in Houston after this experience.

Dr. Crofoot is a kind and gentle doctor. He's been doing this for a long time. He actually takes the time to talk to you and explain things instead of just throwing information out there and hoping you will go away. His office is computerized to the point that once your vital information is logged into the computer, he can pull it up right next to you in the examination room. I love it! His staff is great too. They always try to fit you in, even when they are busy.
